Pink Rainbows in the South of England

As a result of a ‘rare’ weather phenomenon Pink Rainbows had been spotted in the south west of England. Rainbows are caused by the reflection, refraction of light in water, such as rain, resulting in a spectrum of light being dispersed as with a prism. When rainbows are seen at either dawn or dusk they may appear to be pink due to the low angle of the sun causing the sky to appear different colours, as light scatters entering the earths atmosphere it often looks red, orange, purple and sometimes pink.

Here are some images which were captured in areas of England such as Dorset, Gloucestershire & Somerset last Monday.
